Every quilt featured in the show has a story, each one unique and close to the heart of the creator. This year's Best of Show award went to Donna Oelfke, who entered her "Twilight Gardens" in the Special Techniques category. Made in 2024, Donna writes of the work: "This was a Block of the Month kit design from Primitive Gatherings. I worked on the quilt while caring for my mother in our home with the help of hospice nurses. The quilt design and materials were comforting to me and my family. Twilight Gardens was custom machine quilted by Jackie Brown in Greenville, TX. It is wool applique' on flannel."
